REPOST from a Fan.???My Grandpa was a Barber ?and had his own shop, my Dad followed in his footsteps but gave it up for a career in law enforcement. He continued to cut my Grandpa’s hair for him though. I have great memories of sitting there outside, on the patio – watching and listening to their conversations.
A few years back I lived in Japan and was never pleased with the haircuts I got. So I took matters into my own hands and bought some clippers and wore my hair really short. Buzzing my own hair I got pretty decent with the clippers and a hand mirror. Upon returning to the States I bought another set of clippers and continued to cut my own hair. I just recently retired those Wahl clippers (16 years!) and bought some new @wahl_official “made in America” ones. Today I put them into action along with another couple of American made products @railcarfinegoods pomade and @abrahamsmensproducts – sweet tobacco scented beard oil. Very narcissistic post, I know, but wanted to document the result at Ethokin’s “Barber Shop”. I figure I’ve saved thousands of dollars cutting my own hair – thanks for passing down the skills Grandpa and Dad! â„¢ @ethokin #beard #beards #beardoil #losangeles #newyork #urbanoutfitters #gqstyle #gq #madeinusa
